Camp Blanding Joint Training Center is the primary military reservation and training base for the Florida National Guard, both the Florida Army National Guard and certain non-flying activities of the Florida Air National Guard. The site the Navy really wanted was on the St. James River in Jacksonville, but the land was already designated for the Florida National Guard use. MCTFT has access to all of the training areas that Camp Blanding has to offer. The Florida National Guard utilizes about 73,000 acres of the original reservation for the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center. Many of the over 50 RV spots have lake views. Showering and drying off with a towel as soon as you get out of a lake or pond, can help too. This facility is excellent for large scenarios and offers unique opportunities for training in urban environments. REPORT-Call 911 immediately.
